Shared Lounge: The shared lounge area at this property was the perfect place to unwind after a day of exploring. It felt like stepping into a cozy living room, complete with comfy sofas and a warm fireplace. I found myself engrossed in a thrilling novel as if I were in my own personal library.

Noise levels: One minor hiccup during my stay was the noise levels in the hallway during the night.

The hostel bed, clean, lovely staff, early check-in, well-equipped kitchen. Excellent location for jogging and walking with fresh air from the ocean and trees.

Best hostel bed, extremely clean. Lovely staff allowed early check-in for bag drop. Well-equipped kitchen, outdoor seating, and lounge with games and ukulele. Ensuite room with fan. Highly recommended.

Garden with free parking and shared lounge for all the backpackers to mingle, because who doesn't want to make friends while doing their laundry?

waiheke backpackers exceeded our expectations during our honeymoon in onetangi. convenient walking access, beautiful views, friendly staff, and lots of communal space made our stay unforgettable. we wish we had more time to chill in the lounge with the amazing windows and guitars.

I recently stayed at Waiheke Backpackers in Onetangi for a week-long getaway. The location was perfect, with easy walking access to the beautiful Onetangi beach and nearby restaurants. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, even when I lost my room key. The view from the front yard was breathtaking, making the climb up the stairs well worth it. The hostel felt like a home away from home, with plenty of communal space in the lounge, kitchen, and yard. My en-suite room had everything I needed, including a private bathroom, wardrobe, fan, and fridge. The little touches like paper towels and clothes hangers were a nice touch. I had a wonderful stay at Waiheke Backpackers and would highly recommend it.

The room at Waiheke Backpackers Hostel was a total vibe! It had that cozy, laid-back beach shack feel that I adore. With the free WiFi, I could easily share all my sun-soaked adventures with my friends. And the fact that they provided irons/ironing boards and laundry detergent? Major convenience for a low-maintenance beach bum like me. Oh, and the bed linen was super crisp and clean - slept like a baby!

Honestly, the only thing I wasn't too keen on was. drumroll please.

I loved the amazing views from the hostel and the friendly staff. Also, the laundry facilities were handy. Who doesn't love doing laundry while on vacation?

The view from the hostel was amazing, and witnessing the sunset over the beach was lovely. The staff were so friendly and cute, making us feel right at home. The kitchen facilities were well-equipped, and we enjoyed cooking our own meals and even using the gas bbq. The outdoor area with benches was perfect for relaxing and enjoying the lovely location. The beds in our ensuite room were comfortable and the room itself was impeccably clean. We also appreciated the fan provided in the room, which kept us cool during the summer nights. our experience at Waiheke Backpackers was fantastic and we highly recommend it to everyone.
